This was Kevin Smokler’s personal story at Frayday 8, 2004. I was trying out audioblogging to see how an extended entry recording worked, and how my Nokia’s microphone sounded. I’m working on soldering a hands free mic adapter to get a nice unidirectional condenser mic and a level meter for better audio. I also have some recordings of Kid Beyond, but I know how musicians can be paranoid about recordings. Regardless, enjoy this incredibly low-quality audio MP3, with the intro missing, of Kevin’s story of helping wed couples at City Hall during San Francisco’s Winter of Love. For a better quality recording, ask Derek at Ephemera.
