Min Jung Kim Rocks!
Dude, it wasn’t even my birthday and she hooked me up with a Flickr Pro account! I need to put on some lipstick and give someone a kiss.
Check out the unedited goodness from the Inspector Double Negative show. I can’t contain the eighties slang, it’s so rad!
If You Wanted To Know…
where I wanted to take SFist, check out my first timely post.
And here’s the post I slid in as first because I wanted there to be a statement of purpose in the archives.
As I emailed my SFist friends the other day, there are generally four or more times a day I relax and stare into space and just think about how much I love this place. Thank you, EssEff!
Why San Francisco?
Friday:
- Woke up at a friend’s place. Posted a blog post. Got on the bus to downtown.
- Lunch at Giordano Bros. with Beth. I’d left my birth certificate at my old job. Thanks, Beth!
- A moment home.
- Saying hello to Katie and Shane at their respective home projects. Jackson (the dog) causing trouble/
- Walking to 25th and Folsom to catch the 12 Folsom inbound. I love my neighborhood.
- Meeting Niall Kennedy under the statue at 24 Willie Mays Plaza. Say hey!
- The Giants winning in the bottom of the tenth on a single to right field.
- Olivia Ongpin’s hott jam at 111 Minna and House of Shields. Much love to the bartenders, painters and DJs.
- Art show at an underground art space on 25th an Potrero. Giving Bayete a Budweiser tallboy.
- Breaking up a fight at Pops when a punk kicked out of the art space for fighting started a fight with Chris.
Saturday:
- Wake up, call Rybo. “Eh, I’m not sure I want to to wine country. I need to do laundry and write.”
- “Jackson, it’s Jorge. Last chance to get in the van on the trip to wine country.” “Okay.”
- Roche Winery, overlooking Infineon Raceway, which I’d just driven in a ‘Cuda in Gran Turismo 4.
- Gloria Ferrer, classy, great champagne and chocolate.
- Picnicking in Sonoma’s town square. Eating the last of the tri-tip on hand at the barbecue.
- Cline Winery, open until six. All the wineries have been polite and completely unpretentious.
- Driving across the Golden Gate Bridge. Can’t beat it.
- Rolling out to an underground drumnbass party in the ‘Loin.
- Alighting from said party to Shalimar.
- Returning to the party. Two dollar drinks.
- Finding Nicole at the Hush-Hush, after many a frantic cell-phone call.
- Avoiding my ex-girlfriend and her roommate at Delirium. Anna and Heidi, I’m sorry.
Sunday:
- Wake up too late for Rybo’s waffle bash.
- Show up just in time to get a ride to Jess’s show.
- Driving around the Presidio with Bayete, because we though Fort Mason must be in the Presidio.
- The talent that Jess got to work with. Absolutely beautiful people who made beautiful photographs.
- Open studios at CCA (formerly CCAC). Sarah introducing herself. Welcome to San Francisco, Sarah!
- Finally, home for good. Glad that we showed Ernest a good time. And lovin’ the innerweb.
God Bless San Francisco.
