I have to admit, I’m absolutely enchanted by Rollergirls.  I first caught wind of the roller derby hipness in Austin at the last SXSW, and now I’ve fallen in love with all of the athletes involved.  I’d heard of such things in the PNW, NorCal and NYC, but Austin has definitely taken it to another level.

It’s like the WWF, but more entertaining.  It’s like an undergrad feminism theory course, but more entertaining.  It’s like an entirely heteronormative lesbian fetish, but more entertaining.  Can I praise this admittedly overproduced and blatantly manipulative show any higher?
